The invoice goes where your customer already is
In Pakistan the customer is on WhatsApp before they are anywhere else. E-Khata connects your WhatsApp Business number through Meta's own Cloud API, so a saved invoice, receipt, quotation or reminder is one tap from being in the customer's chat as a PDF, sent from your number, with the reply coming back to you.
The WhatsApp integration connects an E-Khata Cloud business to its own WhatsApp Business number through the official Cloud API. Once connected, every document has a Send on WhatsApp action that delivers the PDF from your number to the customer's, using an approved message template. Sends are metered against your plan's monthly allowance, inbound messages arrive through a webhook, and sign-in codes for your staff can travel over the same channel. A Twilio path exists for businesses that already run their WhatsApp through it.
What moves between E-Khata and WhatsApp
This is a messaging connector, not a data sync. Here is exactly what leaves E-Khata and what comes back.

- Sales invoices, quotations, delivery notes and returns as PDFs, from your own template
- Receipts and payment vouchers
- Customer statements and payment reminders
- Customer portal links, so the customer can see their own ledger
- One-time sign-in codes for your own staff
WhatsApp to E-Khata
- Delivery and read status per send
- Inbound replies, logged against the message that prompted them
- Number verification during setup
How to connect WhatsApp to E-Khata Cloud
Setup uses Meta's embedded signup, so you never paste tokens by hand. It takes a few minutes and a phone that can receive a code.
- Open Settings, then Integrations, then WhatsAppChoose the Cloud API path. If your business already runs WhatsApp through Twilio, choose that instead.
- Sign up or sign in with MetaThe embedded signup links your Meta business and creates or selects the WhatsApp Business account.
- Register and verify the numberEnter the business number, receive the code on it, and confirm. Resend if the code does not arrive.
- Sync templatesE-Khata pulls your approved message templates, which are what the Cloud API requires for the first message in a conversation.
- Send from any documentOpen an invoice, tap Send on WhatsApp, confirm the number, and it is delivered from your business number as a PDF.
Send from the document, not from a phone gallery
Sharing a PDF by saving it, opening WhatsApp and finding the customer is how invoices get lost. In E-Khata the send action sits on the document. It picks the customer's number from the party record, uses the template you chose, attaches the PDF rendered from your own layout, and records that it was sent, when, and whether it was delivered and read.
- Send on WhatsApp on invoices, quotations, delivery notes, returns, receipts and vouchers.
- The customer's number comes from the party record; edit it once, it is right everywhere.
- Delivery and read status stored against the document.
Reminders and statements that speed up udhar
A payment reminder is a statement with a nudge. E-Khata sends the customer their outstanding balance, or a full statement, as a PDF over WhatsApp, and can include the customer portal link so they see the ledger themselves. Collection improves because the reminder is in the channel the customer reads every hour.
- Payment reminders with the outstanding amount and the invoices behind it.
- Customer statements for a date range.
- Customer portal link in the message, for self-service.
Your number, Meta's API, metered honestly
Messages go out from your business number through the official Cloud API, which is what keeps them from being flagged and lets templates carry your brand. Each send is metered against the monthly allowance on your plan, and the count is visible in Settings, so there is no surprise bill. Credentials are stored encrypted and are write-only once saved.
- Official WhatsApp Cloud API through Meta's embedded signup.
- Per-send metering against your plan, visible in Settings.
- Encrypted, write-only credentials; disconnect at any time.
- Twilio path for businesses already on it.
Staff sign-in over WhatsApp
Your own team can sign in with a phone number and a one-time code delivered on WhatsApp, which is faster than email for a counter and does not need a password to be remembered. The lost-phone flow recovers an account when the number changes.
- Phone number and one-time code sign-in.
- Lost-phone recovery.
