Every Thaan on the Shelf, With Its Own Length
Cloth, PVC rolls and wire coils are sold by length, and no two rolls are the same. Switch on Measured Pieces and each line on a receipt or a bill carries its pieces and their lengths, every roll gets its own code, and the shelf knows exactly how much is left on which roll.
Measured Pieces in E-Khata Cloud tracks goods sold by length off individual pieces: cloth thaan, PVC rolls, wire coils. You enter each piece and its length under the line and the quantity becomes their sum; every roll received on a Stock Receipt gets its own code, is cut when it is sold, has its length put back on a return or a cancelled bill, and travels between branches whole, by code.

A second grid under the line: pieces and lengths
Turn on Track Measured Pieces (Thaan) in Settings and a measured item's line opens a strip beneath it. Each row is a count and a length, 2 thaan of 21, 1 of 25, and the line's quantity becomes their total, so nobody adds up gaz on a calculator. The column headings are yours to name, Thaan and Gaz, Rolls and Meter, and the length is measured in the line's own unit.
- Tab moves between cells, Enter adds the next thaan, and Enter on an empty row finishes.
- Paste a list of lengths from a message or a sheet and the strip fills at once.
- The Qty box shows the total of the pieces, so the line and its pieces always agree.
- Use it for every product, or only the products you mark on their own page.
- Call a piece what your market calls it: thaan, roll or coil.
Each roll gets its own code when it arrives
When a Stock Receipt is submitted, every piece on it becomes a roll of its own with a code such as TH-000042, unique across the whole business, not just one branch. Two thaan of 21 become two rolls with 21 on each. Opening stock works the same way, so the cloth already on your shelf is counted roll by roll from the first day.

- Each roll keeps the length it arrived with and the length left on it.
- A receipt whose rolls have been cut cannot be edited or cancelled until the sale that cut them is reversed.
Scan or type a roll's code and the line names it
On the bill, scan a roll's code or type it into the product search, and the line lands with that roll already named at its full remaining length; a second roll of the same cloth joins the same line. For an item picked by name, Enter on the entry bar lands the line and opens the strip, and a quantity typed on the bar becomes the first row. The shelf is shown on the line itself, so the salesman cuts from the right roll.

- Cut 12 off a roll of 24 and it stays on the shelf with 12 left.
- Clear messages when a roll is already on the bill or has nothing left on it.
- Every code on hand is one click away from the line.
Cut when sold, put back on a return or a cancel
A roll is cut when the goods leave: on the invoice when your stock is deducted at invoice, or on the delivery order. Cancel the bill and the length goes back on its roll. A sales return puts the length back on the roll it names, even one that was used up, and never more than the roll started with. Quotations and sales orders carry the piece breakdown and print it, without cutting or holding any roll.

Rolls travel between branches by code
On a branch transfer, the dispatch form picks rolls off the shelf: Pick thaan opens the rolls on hand with their codes and lengths, and you tick or scan the ones going. Rolls travel whole and are never cut in transit. At the other end, the receiving branch sees every roll that was sent and marks each one Fine, Damaged or Didn't come, so a damaged roll goes to quarantine and a missing one is written off at the sending side.

The packing list on the bill
A cloth buyer checks the bill against the bundle. With the Packing list field on your invoice layout, each line prints its pieces the way the trade writes them, (1*25) + (2*21) + (1*22), with rolls of the same length grouped. Pieces and Total length print as fields of their own, and the same fields work on quotations, sales orders, delivery orders, sales returns, gate passes and stock receipts.

- Long lists summarised after the number you set, 40 by default, with the rest counted.
- Lines without pieces print nothing, so a mixed bill stays clean.
How measured pieces work
- Switch it onIn Settings, under Stock, turn on Track Measured Pieces (Thaan), name the Count and Length columns, and choose every product or only the ones you mark.
- Receive rolls with their lengthsEnter each thaan and its length on the Stock Receipt. When it is submitted, every roll gets its own code.
