The phone call that starts with what is my balance ends before it starts. Each customer gets a private link that opens their own account in E-Khata: the balance, the ledger, every invoice with its PDF, on their phone, without a login. You choose what they see, down to the column.
The customer portal in E-Khata Cloud is a private, tokened page per customer. From the party record you issue a link, share it over WhatsApp, and the customer opens a self-service view of their own account: current balance, a filterable ledger, the list of invoices and other documents with a PDF for each, and a way to message you. There is no password to forget, the link can be extended or revoked at any time, and per customer you control which ledger fields and which line-item fields are visible, so a dealer sees rates and a walk-in customer does not.

A private link, not a login
Customers do not want another password. A portal link is a long, unguessable token tied to one party and issued by someone with the right permission. Send it once over WhatsApp and it opens straight to their account, on a phone or a desktop, in a layout built for each. Links have an expiry you can extend, and revoking one is one click.

Balance, ledger and invoices, with PDFs
The portal opens on the balance card. Below it, the ledger lists every invoice, receipt, return and adjustment with a running balance, filterable by date and type. The invoice tab lists every document with its PDF, so a customer who lost a bill fetches it themselves. Payments received show as soon as you record them, which ends the did you get my cheque call as well.

You decide what each customer sees
Not every customer should see the same columns. Per party, you choose which ledger fields are visible and which item fields on documents are visible, so a distributor sees line rates and discounts while a retail customer sees totals only. The defaults are sensible and the overrides are per customer, not per business.

A place to talk, and a place to sell
The portal carries a contact card with your number and WhatsApp, a message dialog that records the customer's message against their account, and an offer card you can use for a current promotion or a payment prompt. It is a statement and a shopfront at once.
